Coveris Group Spalding generously donate £1000 to The Lighthouse Project Spalding
1st May 2024
Coveris Group Spalding hit an impressive safety milestone and marked the occasion with a generous donation to The Lighthouse Project Spalding!
The team at Coveris Group Spalding achieved 2,000 days lost time incident (LTI) free and were awarded £1,000 to donate to a local charity of their choice.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the team for choosing to support The Lighthouse Project Spalding. This donation means young people experiencing homelessness, mental health issues and other life-controlling situations are able to get the support they need to transform their lives.
Mark Ellis, Coveris Spalding’s Site Manager and Leah Bretten, HR Advisor at Coveris visited The Lighthouse Project Spalding and presented a cheque to our founder, Jenny Tedbury.
Mark Ellis said, “Live safety first is our number one priority and I’m very proud of the continuous efforts of our team at Coveris Spalding who make this happen, every day. 2,000 days LTI-free is an incredible achievement for our business and it’s important we continue this journey for the safety of our people, our site and the products we manufacture. This safety milestone allows us to support the valuable work of The Lighthouse Project Spalding and it was really rewarding to meet Jenny and learn more about the difference being made in the local community.”
Jenny Tedbury said, “We are grateful to Coveris for this very kind donation. As a charity providing supported accommodation to young people in South Holland we are not funded by any statutory bodies but depend on donations made by companies and individuals. We are seeing the need for support growing so fast that we can’t keep up. Donations such as these and the amazing gifts Coveris donated at Christmas help us to serve the young people, and in some cases their children, so much better. Thank you very much.”
Well done to the team at Coveris Group Spalding for their incredible achievement, and Coveris Group as a whole for their continued commitment to supporting local charities like us.
