A beacon of hope for vulnerable young people in Spalding and beyond…

ABOUT US

The Lighthouse Project Spalding is a local charity providing social support and housing for vulnerable young people.

Each charity area serves a different group to provide the best possible care.

Home House

Home House is our home for young people without safe housing.

Your support helps these young people turn their lives around. They might be care leavers, or forced from their home due to family issues once they turn 18. Here we support them, giving them safe, secure housing where they can learn essential life skills, find a community and build their confidence. We help them find work to develop independence and change the trajectory of their lives.

Lime House

Lime House is our home for young mothers to learn to raise their children in a safe environment.

Your support gives a young mum and her baby a better start. Everyone wants the best for their child, but some mums aren’t in a position where they feel they can do that. Whether it be needing secure housing, needing support when they cannot call upon family, or needing help with their own mental health whilst raising a little one, Lime House is there. We provide a home with a family feel where they can learn parenting skills to give their family the best start.

Karis House

Karis House is a home and programme which transforms the lives of young women struggling with their mental health.

These mental health conditions could be anything from anxiety to depression to disordered eating. At Karis House, they learn healthy ways to cope and move on from their past.  With your support, they can transform their lives and move towards a brighter future.

Shining Stars

To give our Lime House mums and their children an opportunity to make friends in the community, we started Shining Stars. It’s run by a qualified Nursery Nurse and brings in a diverse range of families from the local area, creating bonds which last a lifetime.

The Shop & Furniture Recycle Store

The Shop and Furniture Recycle Store in Spalding Town Centre help to provide good quality, low cost items and furniture to the local community. They also give our residents the opportunity to get work experience and references to start their careers.

Since opening the Shop in 2014 it has grown and grown! We now have two locations – one in the Sheepmarket (the Shop) and one in Broadgate House (the Recycling Store) – and offer pick up and delivery for furniture to make it accessible for all.
