Our

Mission.

Karis House started because there was a need. I could see it in some of the young people that I worked with in the church and those we supported in the wider community. A need to belong, to be listened to and accepted for who they were, a place where they felt safe and valued. Personally I didn’t want anybody else to have to fight as hard as I had to do to find a place where they could learn to function and be happy with who they were. That is our key purpose. The other thing was, well, I believe God told me to open Karis House. You can’t do much else when God tells you to, can you?!!
Together at Karis we help young women build relationships with each other, with us and with God. They become more confident. They attempt things they never would’ve attempted before because of a new found confidence in who they are in Christ. Everyone, including them, can see the change. If you need help to change, read their testimonies and be inspired to take the first step! We look forward to hearing from you.

God bless,

Jenny

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

“There comes a time in your life when

you need to make what Jesus did for you

greater than what someone did to you.

We asked some of our past and present girls to describe their time at Karis House.

These are the words that just kept coming up.

They describe what we work to create far better than we can!

“When first coming to Karis I was an inwardly, terrified and anxious girl that wanted to escape and run from everything. Barely clinging onto the hope I’d find anyone that cared for me more than I could ever care for myself. I can confidently say I’ve not experienced such an acceptance and love as from the staff at Karis. They believe in my future which in time helped me to believe in my own future.”
